Welcome to FELT 'N' FUNKY, my new website and online shop! Each of my designs is a one-off, although I can make several of the same design, no two will be the same. If there's something in particular or special you'd like, I can create bespoke designs, just email me to discuss your idea and I'll see what I can do!
I have been experimenting with wet and needle felting for the past year and my creations are unique, funky, colourful and quite often psychidelic! I make lots of felty things such as mobile phone cosy's; Kindle Kosys; brooches; jewellery; bags; purses and more. Each item is individually crafted, so no two are the same. Colours and textures may vary from pictures.
Needle felted creations can take time to produce, as many of the designs are intricate. To needle felt, roving wool is layed on in strands ontop of pre-felt, then I use either 1, 3 or 5 needles at a time and needle the wool onto the pre-felt to create a design. I do not use appliques or a machine, each design is created freehand.
Many of my creations are quite organic and free-flowing, with no particular design, I just go where the felt takes me! Why not have a look through my gallery for an idea of my styles.
